Program Admissions

Potential residents are required to go through the application and interview process. Telephone interviews are accepted if done with a referring professional or parent, or at a facility. All residents must be willing to work and stay sober while they are in our program.

The resident will be medically stable and be willing to take random drug tests. If a potential client has substantial drug or alcohol issues, they must have completed at least a 28-day program before entering TGI. We enroll students on a 12-month calendar and we facilitate intakes Monday through Saturday between 9am and 6pm.

We accept students on a rolling basis throughout the year based on availability.

To apply, students must:

  1. Be between the ages of 18 and 28;
  2. Be willing to live in a substance-free environment;
  3. Be ready to take responsibility for their own lives;
  4. Complete the attached application for admission and return it to us;
  5. Forward all relevant psychological evaluations and school transcripts to our office (we do require test results from any psychological or psychiatric testing, as well as information about hospitalization); and
  6. Enclose a $50.00 application fee with their completed admissions questionnaire.

After the application materials are submitted, our Admissions Committee will:

  1. Review the applicant's questionnaire;
  2. Schedule an interview with the applicant;
  3. Request other pertinent and available information from parents, guardians, therapists, counselors, physicians, and/or professionals who have worked previously with the applicant on his particular needs;
  4. Interview the applicant (there is a $250.00 Interview Fee);
  5. Decide whether the applicant will benefit from our program; and
  6. Notify the applicant of their acceptance or rejection.

If TGI meets the needs of the student, you can hold a spot with a non-refundable $1,000.00 deposit.

If TGI is not the right program for the applicant, we will do everything possible to help him find one better suited to his particular needs.
